Metropolitan Civil Engineers Association (METCEA) was founded with the simple but critical goal of sharing and advancing civil engineering knowledge and personal development of professionals and students in civil engineering and other related disciplines.

METCEA work for the benefit and wellbeing of Civil engineers including both the environment and society.

METCEA is affiliated to FACEAT&P (Federation of all Civil Engineers Association of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry), a state-level organisation with 97 affiliated associations.

The unceasing and ingenious efforts of METCEA, elite Association have resulted in the transformation of Chennai suburban, one of the renowned industrial hubs of south India, from an unknown and undeveloped piece of land into a region of phenomenal growth in all spheres of activity, from textiles companies and colleges to hospitals and SME units.

It can also be said that the history of Chennai's suburban infrastructure cannot be told without making frequent and significant references to our tightly knit, knowledge-centric Association.

Many of the city's prominent infrastructures are designed and developed by our members, which is a source of pride.

METCEA upholds the honour, integrity, and interests of the civil engineering profession by supporting consistent high standards in engineering regulation, encouraging the growth of the profession in Chennai and its suburban areas, and inspiring public confidence.
